A game about
wanting more.
Click for dopamine. Hire an Unpaid Intern. Build an increasingly unnecessary empire. Eventually, reset it all for Regret.
Dopamine Clicks is a free browser idle game that is aware of the arrangement. The number gets bigger. The upgrades become more elaborate. Management remains difficult to impress.
Why I made it.
After researching clicker and idle games, I wanted to build one that was self-aware about what it is.
So here is a game where achievement leads to Regret, Regret leads to Indifference, and eventually you can automate the entire process. Your participation becomes increasingly administrative.
Visit greyden.gamesA familiar loop. A candid appraisal.
Do something.
Click for dopamine, then buy automation to do the clicking for you. Your attendance is appreciated until it becomes optional.
Call it progress.
Collect upgrades, achievements, and milestone rewards. There is always another department to open.
Find closure. Repeat.
Prestige into Regret, then Indifference. Invest in permanent improvements and delegate the decisions. Completion remains under review.
